This interactive guide allows the identification of native trees, shrubs and woody climbers of the secured climbing route (ferrata) of Bavšica and around the learning center PUS Bavšica in the Bavšica valley (Slovenia, Triglav National Park).
The key is designed to help schools and visitors to recognize and name the woody plants (40 species) of Bavšica.
It was created in the framework of the Interreg project SiiT (School-oriented Interactive Identification Tools: exploring biodiversity in a cross-border area), in collaboration between the Department of Life Sciences of the University of Trieste (Italy) and the Triglav National Park (Slovenia).
SiiT is funded under the Interreg program Italy-Slovenia 2007-2013, the European Regional Development Fund and national funds.
